A minor in political science must complete 15 credits of work in the Department of Political Science and International Relations.

Minor Requirements:

  • POSC 150 - Introduction to American Politics (three credits)
  • One POSC course at the 200-level or higher (three credits)
  • One POSC course at the 300 or 400-level (three credits)
  • Two POSC courses at the 400-level (six credits)

POSC 464, POSC 466, and POSC 468 may not be used to satisfy a requirement for the Minor in Political Science

The three POSC courses at the 300 and 400-level should be taken in two of the four fields below (Please refer to the list of approved elective courses in each field):

  • American Politics
  • Comparative Politics
  • International Relations
  • Political Theory
