​Gerard works in regulatory affairs for RIC Energy, a Madrid based renewable energy developer specializing in commercial and industrial solar and renewable hydrogen development. He is RIC USA’s liaison to state governments and trade associations across the country and is responsible for working with state level programs and charting strategy for US expansion. Gerard previously worked for the New York State Assembly where he served as director of energy policy and communications for the chair of the NY State Assembly Energy Committee, managing the chair's legislative agenda and overseeing all internal and external communications. He also previously served as constituent services director for the 63rd Assembly District.

In his personal life, Gerard is an avid New York sports fan who enjoys traveling, cooking, running and remaining engaged with the UD community through his role on the board of the NYC UD Alumni Club.
