Biography
Stephen Kipp is a Ph.D Candidate in the Department of Political Science and International Relations at the University of Delaware. His work generally revolves around the subfields of American Politics and Political Theory--focusing specifically on U.S. geopolitics (especially rural politics) and environmental political theory. Stephen's current research investigates how rural development initiatives in the U.S. influence the political behaviors of those residing in rural communities. He is also interested in interrogating geopolitical labels and their associated boundaries in an effort to illustrate the material and social factors which shape political space collectively.
Stephen received two BAs from Western Connecticut State University in 2019--one in Political Science and the other in History. He received his Master's in Political Science from the University of Delaware in 2021. He is a current Unidel Distinguished Graduate Scholar and the President of the Political Science Graduate Student Association (PSGSA).​
