Biography
Lauren Turenchalk is a legislative analyst at
Bloomberg Government in Washington, DC. Lauren focuses on federal
legislative research and analysis, and her write-ups are published on
the Bloomberg Government website. She covers labor, tax, retirement,
education and nutrition policies. Previously, Lauren was a legislative
analyst in the New York City office of Cozen O'Connor Public Strategies,
a bipartisan lobbying firm. She worked with multinational companies,
banks and not-for-profits on advocacy and legislative analysis.
Lauren
graduated from the University of Delaware in 2020, where she
doubled-majored in Political Science and History. Lauren interned for
Senator Charles Schumer's legislative office in Washington, D.C., during
the summer of 2019 and his D.C. press office remotely after she
graduated. Additionally, she spent time as both a campaign intern and
legislative intern for Senator Thomas Carper in Delaware.
One of Lauren's favorite memories from her time at UD was when she studied abroad in Athens, Greece, for a winter session.​
